Abstract: Published studies which have been applied to the construction industry in the area of job satisfaction within Kuwait are limited. Previous researches have focused on motivation, productivity, and satisfaction of mostly laborers and craftsmen. However, Engineers’ satisfaction is a substantial element of any project. Engineers are the keys of craftsmen and laborers. Meaning, they monitor the productivity of them and control the gear of project success. Furthermore, engineers are the pivot of clients as they are the ones who transform their visuals into sensible premises. Therefore, the objective of this study is to distinguish the job satisfaction of the field engineers in the construction industry in Kuwait in addition to determining the satisfiers and dissatisfiers that can affect the job attitudes of Kuwait’s construction engineers. Moreover, the relationship between the level of dissatisfaction and project progress has to be tackled. To achieve this purpose, random construction engineers have been invited to present their point of view by answering a survey questionnaire. Factors have been shortlisted using Herzberg’s Theory including the Motivation factors (achievement, recognition, work itself, responsibility, advancement, and growth) and hygiene factors (company policy & administration, supervision, salary, interpersonal relations, physical working conditions, and job security). In addition to that, based on previous researches in the same field and recommendations from construction masters; more aspects have been taken into consideration.
