Abstract: main objective of this study is to conduct comprehensive stratigraphical and sedimentological study on Wara Formation in Khashman Area South Kuwait (Figure 1), which will lead to a better understanding of the facies distribution of Wara sequence. In order to meet our objective we need to understand the stratigraphic and sedimentological aspects of Khashman field and focus mainly on lithofacies variation within Formation with emphasis on depositional environment that will enhance the understanding of reservoir distribution of Wara Formation. In this study, the sedimentology of Wara in Khashman Area was described in detail. A variety of data was available including well data, seismic data, and core description which have been integrated with petrophysical analyses and seismic data whenever possible. This study covered correlation of well-log data, sequence stratigraphy interpretation, core and thin section descriptions, depositional environment interpretations and diagenesis. The methodology of this study consists of several items such as preparation of location map, typical stratigraphic columns and structural cross-sections related to Wara Formation. In addition, several steps have been accomplished such as core description to cover lithology, depositional environment, grain size and sedimentary structure with their boundaries. Correlations between several wells (Figure 1) have been done to identify the lithofacies distribution by using Schlumberger Petrel Software, interbedded layers and thickness of Wara and Burgan by using electrical well-logs.
